Comments

In 1988 a rumor indicated a black family would be coming to town. A longtime resident remark in regards to the move that ” In short, they were NOT going to be made welcome.”

1970s there were two black children in the community, but they were adopted by a white minister and though they were public tolerated, people made nasty comments in private, according to a longtime resident.
